These honors highlight the school's commitment to comprehensive student support, fostering positive behavior, and creating a safe, nurturing environment.
Who We Serve
Leasure Elementary serves a diverse student and staff population and is proud to be part of the culturally-rich Christiana, Delaware. Approximately 63% of our students are African-American, 16% Hispanic or Latino, 10% White, 6% Multi-Racial, 4% Asian-American, <1%Native American and <1% Native Hawaiian / Pacific Islander.

Leasure is a “PBS” school! PBS means “Positive Behavior Support” Our students work very hard to earn their “Bear Paws”, which can be “cashed out” weekly and monthly for some pretty cool prizes and activities. We had such things as our “Soccer With The Staff”, “Pizza With The Principal”, “Cupcake and Cakewalk”, “Hot Chocolate and a Craft”, a “Super Bowl Party”, “Basketball with the Staff”, an “Ice Cream Sundae Party”, and a “Board Games” event. A GREAT time was had by all! We are continuing to do many of these things, and may be adding others soon. Keep watching for upcoming events, and keep earning those Bear Paws!
Our PTA has been working very hard to support our school. Because of their efforts, our students enjoy many exciting and educational programs and events at our school. Your support and ability to help out are always welcome with us!
